On July 3 (Wed.), two world champion bartenders come together for a dream performance at Lounge Bar Privé.

Adrián Michalčík, head of mixology from the bar Pier 42 of Amerikalinjen hotel in Oslo, and Chief Bartender Manabu Ohtake from Palace Hotel Tokyo’s Main Bar Royal Bar have both been recognized as Bartender of the Year at the Diageo World Class global competition.

For this one-night-only premium event, each bartender will be creating original cocktails based on three themes. Enjoy this extraordinary opportunity to indulge in the art of cocktail making with the world-class flavors of skilled bartenders.

*Lounge Bar Privé will be closed 11:30 am – 7:00 pm on the day of the event.
Price: JPY 10,000 per person for 3 tickets / An additional JPY 3,500 per ticket
(inclusive of 15% service charge and consumption tax)
Details: Each bartender will create 3 original cocktails based on 3 themes, using the following – Don Julio 1942 / Don Julio Blanco / Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve / Tanqueray No. TEN / The Singleton Dufftown 12 Y

*A cocktail will be provided in exchange for one ticket. Cocktails made with Don Julio 1942 will require two tickets.
*Tickets will be available at the event entrance. No advance purchase available.
*Lounge Bar Privé’s regular menu will not be available.

Manabu Ohtake

Adrián Michalčík

Born in Czechoslovakia, Adrián Michalčík is the Head of Mixology at Pier 42 of hotel Amerikalinjen in Oslo. He became the champion in the 2022 Diageo World Class Global Bartender of the Year competition, and has also been awarded Best Bartender Norway for three years from 2021.

Manabu Ohtake

Manabu Ohtake started his career as a bartender in 1994. He participated in the Diageo World Class Japan finals from 2009 and claimed the title in 2011, moving on to winning the global competition. He is currently the 7th Chief Bartender of Main Bar Royal Bar at Palace Hotel Tokyo.

First held in 2009, Diageo World Class marks its 16th event this year. One of the world’s largest bartender competitions, some 25,000 of the most talented bartenders from 60 countries compete for the title.
